THE SAVOY THEATRE

G&S owns and operates The Savoy Theatre in Adcockvale which was designed and built by members in the late 1960s, primarily as a rehearsal venue.  At that time most productions were staged at the PE Opera House and the Savoy stage was made to the same size as the Opera House.  Members raised funds for the project and literally built the Savoy with their bare hands.

“I always get a little flush of sentimentality whenever I go to the Savoy theatre as I was there for the laying of the foundation stone. Little did I dream then that I would still be going there to see such a wonderful variety of shows so many decades later!!!”  -  Pat Scott

Since the early 2000s most productions have been staged at the Savoy with ongoing improvements being made such as the construction of an Orchestra Pit in 2011 and major renovations to the bar and entertainment areas which can now be used as a more intimate cabaret style venue.
